Ah, you know, it's occured to me, as I'm preparing for bed, that I never took the time to wish you a happy Rose Day at any point today. What a terrible oversight, really. I'm appalled at myself.
I did hear your husband got you a single rose, very traditional. I suppose that's in character for him. I hope you don't listen to all those rumours that your marriage is cold and lifeless and humdrum, it sounds to me like it's very ... professional. Which is, of course, very satisfactory, and the naysayers can have their ribald chuckles all they like! I do admire your tenacity.
I do hope you didn't feel slighted that I forgot about you.
