Don't I throw a simply charming party, Eliza, dear? I take entertaining very seriously. (After all, it become something of a hobby, when you live where I do.) Still, you simply must return for one of my ... adult parties. There's only so much I can do, while entertaining for small children, you'll understand, of course!
As for my reasons for sending my sweet daughter with you (because I am quite certain you can't stop thinking about them), they are entirely innocent in nature, though I don't feel like sharing what they are. Oh, and please, dearest, don't waste your time pestering the poor thing with questions, she's certain to inform her dear father when she returns to Conare, if you do, and she knows nothing. Because, as you should know, by now, at least, there is absolutely nothing to know.
Really, it must be horrible, to have a husband so old. You're far to clever to miss an advance, but far too wary to accept one, as well. A horrible shame! You're quite lovely, when you're not asking questions that you'll not find any answers to.
